The Bonnie Parker Story (via doppelganger X)

I’m considering postponing my wedding until I can afford to wear only Marchesa, multiple wardrobe-change style (photos via Style.com)

My fav #NYFW collection? Proenza Schouler. The Gothic schoolgirl look (with a pinch of Cher Horowitz) is a pitch-perfect revision of a classic look :: http://ow.ly/19fcO (Photos via WWD)

….aaaaaand, you’d be hard pressed to find a more lovely collection. Frilly, strong, vintage and modern in equal measure. Zac Posen consistently kills it :: http://bit.ly/aAP8S7 (photos via Style.com)
Email System: GMail Instructions
Over @the99percent, I recently wrote on the email system I’m using to keep myself organized. Setting up in GMail is a bit more complicated than setting up in another mail client, so I thought I’d further elucidate here:
(1) Go to Gmail settings
(2) Click on Labs
(3) Enable Multiple Inboxes
(4) Go into Settings
(5) Click Labels, and create 3 new ones: Action Steps, Backburner, Delegated
(6) Back in Settings, click Multiple Inboxes
Set up like this:

Now, you can sort everything in your Inbox as explained in the article:
Action Steps // urgent to-dos that should be completed within 24 hours
Backburner // non-urgent tasks that can be checked back in on ~72 hours
Delegated // emails that you’ve sent out and are awaiting response on (important to track)
Everything else can be considered a Reference, and labeled/archived immediately.
Here’s the finished product:

Hope that helps!

Really feeling the dark, bulky, textural looks coming out of #NYFW — my inner goth is rejoicing :: http://bit.ly/dDymgb (photos via Style.com)

Whoa. Proof that life is full of surprises…
I keep forgetting to upload my Halloween costume. Got a lot of “is that chickenpox?” but for those in the know, it was cool…
Halloween Movie Review, 2009
Every year, Aaron and I get into the Halloween spirit by watching scary movies non-stop in October. Last year we got in a good list of old-favorites and new classics.
Here’s the set for 2009, which I’ll update with remarks after viewing:
Watched:
Paranormal Activity: (10/10) It’s soooo rare that I find a movie that genuinely scares me (The Ring), but isn’t traumatizing (The Exorcist). My heart pounded, my stomach hurt, but I couldn’t stop peeking from between my fingers. You MUST see this.
It’s the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown: (4/10) Hmmmm. Is this about religious fanaticism? Blind faith? Aside from about 60 seconds of awesome Halloween party, this didn’t live up to my memories. And what’s up with the WWII/Red Baron biz?
Coming Up:
A Tale of Two Sisters
The Changeling
Session 9
Dracula (Coppola)
House of Wax (Price)
Shadow of the Vampire
The Shining
*** NOTE: I have a strict non-psycho-killer Halloween policy. If it’s not supernatural, I don’t think it falls in the category.
